i'm about to scoot down to the beach for a couple of hours for my last relaxing moments here in greece... this is going to be my last entry about my travels this summer.

last night was still party central here, even though it was sunday night. people go out at 1am and party until 8 in the morning. i am definitely too old for all that crazy ibiza-style partying, but i still had a good time nonetheless. and honestly, that is all there is to do on this island... party, sleep, beach - repeat. unlike santorini which had sights to see during the day, ios doesn't really have any sights to see. apparently homer's tomb is on this island (maybe he was a party animal too?), but the buses don't go there and it's a 3 hour walk. although i am usually down for walking, in this heat i would probably faint from dehydration if i attempted that now.

but the really exciting news is: i'm coming HOME! i take an overnight ferry tonight to athens, then bus it from the port to the athens airport, fly from athens to munich, hang out in the airport for about 7 hours, then fly to geneva, fly to mew york (and see kamando), and then fly HOME! it's going to be 48 hours of travel time that i am not looking forward to, but i am definitely ready to be home after all my travels. first thing i'm looking forward to: american shower. all the showers here are weird little handheld faucets thingys that never get your whole body wet at once. yuck.

also, i posted some pictures that i stole from other webpages, because apparently i forgot to take pics of all the fantastic stuff. see you all soon and lots of hugs and smiles!
