Where I stayed
Sun, Sea and Sand! my first stop for my travels was the island of Corfu in Northern Greece.I met with a friend who was working there and we were joined by 2 other friends the following day. We stayed in the village of Agios Gordios, on the west of the island. it was a beautiful green town with a magnificent beach. We celebrated Emma's 21st while there and drank lots of cocktails. I loved the kom kwuat liqueur, which is made in Corfu and the locals are very proud off. We visited the pink palace, a notorious hostel in the area, but instead of finding fun loving travelers, we found arrogant people and down right rude staff :-( Overall the locals were lovely and the town was very safe and welcoming. A great start to my travels and a nice respite after a few months of hard work. Then we jumped on an overnight bus to Athens! yucky...
