Another amazing film set drive over to Kaikoura. Arriving into the town we headed to the seal colony stopping first at a BBQ stall to get some sea food chowder and garlic muscles. We pulled up at the seal colony right on the sea front, surrounded by scores of seals, pulled the chairs back and tucked into our food. Perfect.

We walked along the peninsula admiring the incredible views and scouring the horizon, vainly, for a whale.
That evening Rob particularly enjoyed the tropical temperatures in the van, the hot chocolate, Dream bar, and the Disney film Happy Feet.

The following day we walked and walked and walked. Firstly, all along the length of the peninsula and then up a near vertical mountain called Mt Fyffe. It nearly killed me, but the views made up for that.
