Where I stayed
Lithai Guest House
We spent a day in Phitsanulok visiting the Folklore Museum, a very random collection of Thai artefacts, a Buddha-making factory to provide background for the many, many statues we had seen so far and Wat Phra Si Mahathat. Thailand, being the slightly strange collection of cultures that it is even has a Tesco's, where we spent some time playing about, particularly amused by the 'Monk Kit" one could buy to set yourself up for donating to Monks! We ate at the very busy night market alongside the river and set off the following morning to Sukhothai.
