Bonjour!!

We are now finally in St Cannat staying with Shaun and Heidi in their awesome french villa.  Is such a relief to finally get here.  Got the starter motor looked at this morning after spending a night parked up at the garage just out of Arles, the guy took one look at it and said the contacts where not working properly so should be working alright now.  Is very hard with the language barrier as my lonley planet phrasebook doesnt quite cut it.  Got by though.....just

Had a look around Aix de Provence this afternoon, took Shaun and Heidis Hyndai in which was great to drive after Frank, yay aircon and power steering!!  Very beautiful city with lots of big trees lining the roads and restuarants everywhere, they have a few tribute statues around to the all blacks as that is where they are staying for a few weeks during world cup.

Spent rest of afternoon relaxing at Shaun and Heidis house with Disco and Kate who are over from Scotland.  Went for a swim in their pool and had a decent shower which was just fantastic after not having a shower since Pamps.  Are now playing some Petanque, girls vs boys, boys are taking it way to seriously.  Having a few quiet drinks as have got a long drive tomorrow, have to get to Salzburg in 2 days!!  Going to be quite a mission but see how we go.  Shaun and Hayden have been tinkering with the van so hopefully Frank will get us there with no other problems.

Hope all is well back home, thinking of you all while I sip my vodka in the hot summers day in south of France.....

Au reviour

Frank
Hi Kimberley and Hayden - Glad things are working out pretty much OK, although getting rather worried about Frank, hopefully he will make it. I wonder how comfortable the bed is and how things worked out for you equipment wise. Have been pretty hectic since you left with Ascot Races, down to Kent to follow the Senior Masters Golf, I have my good friend Val living here now and it is all go getting her out and about to see as much as she can in the 3 months. Organised a job for her so she is earning a few pounds in the process. Worked at Windsor Castle catering and waitressing a couple of weeks ago and now catering for a wedding tomorrow. Have a NZ wine & food fest. next Saturday and then another catering job at Windsor Castle late Sunday afternoon. Never a dull moment. Interesting reading about your travels, and can to relate to your time in Valencia having been down there also. Pity about the America's Cup, but I guess you win some / you loose some. Weather in London in very average, but you will be pleased you are not in NZ where they are having a very very cold winter. Keep the info coming it makes good reading. Safe travelling and hope Frank keeps up the good work.
Love and cheers - Annita x x
