After spending all of Monday on a bus to get to Cuiaba, we were optimistic on Tuesday as we set out in search of two natural attactions. The first was a national park in the area that has been compared to the southwestern part of the USA, with respect to it's unique stone formations and stone cities set in cliffs. As it turns out, though, there was an accident in this park last year, and the main attractions are still closed until they sort things out.
The second attraction, at least, doesn't close. The Pantanal is the giant wetlands area known for having lots of wildlife, and this was our second goal in coming to Cuiaba. Unfortunately, as it turns out, Cuiaba is not a good place to find tours -- at least, not if you're on a budget. So, Wednesday, we got back on a bus and headed to Campo Grande.
