Our second stop in Texas was in Arlington. This was a quick stop -- we arrived in the afternoon, and left first thing the next morning. Just stopped by to see the Texas Rangers play against Seattle. It was a nice enough park, and a pretty good game. More interesting, though was the fact that our seats were right next to the Mariners bullpen, so we spent most of our time watching their rituals and initiations. In addition to the 5 assorted helmets that they lined up along the field (think old solider on a Trojan horse with feathers in his helmet), there were also pink Hello Kitty backpacks for the rookies, and some sort of bet that involved one pitcher polishing the shoes of all the other guys (with his own spit and a towel, none the less)
