Today marks the first day I used the laundry service since my arrival in South America. Pretty nice hotel, and so it was much more expensive than it would've been in previous places in Bolivia. Oh well, much needed. Chilled for a bit in our rooms and then myself, Lauren, Aisling, Aoife and Sarah went into town and did a bit of shopping, but it was siesta time by the time we got there and so we walked 5 blocks to this local buffet where we were the only gringos there, and so we drew a lot of attention. There was salad, different types of rice, meat, chicken, chicken curry, lasagna etc and then we continued shopping in the tourist shops (all of them the same really) and I bought a top like the Puma logo, but with Bolivia and a Llama jumping over it. Amazing.

It was then time to cross the border into Brazil. This involves a 24 hour :O train journey. We had nothing to worry about though, after arriving at the train station and boarding the train we find our seats and I luckily have a solo seat with so much space and the seats were so big and so unbelievably comfy. It fully reclined with a massive leg rest coming from the chair in front, so it was pretty much a bed- amazing! Slept like a baby, and woke up in time for breakfast! During the night, or day, or whatever it was, Green Zone, the film, was showing overhead in Spanish with English subtitles and then dinner was served. They gave us choices and, a sign of things to come, I chose the Milanesa and it came with chips AND rice and was delicious!
