I had an amazing introduction to Sri Lanka after having travelled there with work last year. It was a while ago now, but while there I visited Kandy, Colombo, and went down to the south on holiday and lounged on some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever encountered.

I remember deviled cashews, sunny skies, drinks at the Gallery, flying a kite in Unawatuna, eating king prawns at sunset. I also remember vomiting for 24 hours, waking up to a cockroach on my head, riding in tuktuks through crowded streets, and visiting Buddhist monasteries high on hillsides. Oh and meeting a "dragon" lizard on a canoe safari.

Gorgeous, very fond memories indeed.
