Up nice and early to finally say goodbye to Belleville, my friend drove me to the train station for the not-quite-as-brutal-as-before hour of 8am. Got the BF and evil duffel bag from hell [wasn't any point lugging it to the friend's place if you've got a perfectly good BF to do it for ya!], got on the train and got the hell out of there!
Same old view on the train. Lots and lots and lots of trees. And the occasional glimpse of the lake, which I'd gotten used to referring as a lake and not the ocean now. Yay me!
It was when we got into Toronto that I got a little annoyed. This was my touristy day in Toronto, to go up the CN Tower and take lots of gorgeous touristy pictures, aaand.. it's overcast. :( Not due to clear up until Monday, the day I leave, and beautiful weather afterwards.. Typical, eh?
Defeated, we instead decide to just go get randomly lost in the city. We walked to where the CN Tower is, then up towards Eaton Centre where I dragged the poor boy around needlessly for an hour or so. If I had endless funds, I'd have probably moved into that mall. It was kickass. :D
For kicks, we then opt for a 2-stop metro ride just to say we went on the Toronto Metro, even though we had no real reason for doing so and it was a 10 minute walk anyway. Ah well, we didn't have anywhere else to go so why not? We disembarked near the Underground Network, and promptly got lost in there for another hour. :)
Crawled back into Union Station and got our GO train tickets for our abode for the evening - Clarkson, in Mississauga. Quickie ride and met up with his friend Mike [our host], who promptly took us to chill with some of his mates for the evening
So not as revolutionary a day as I'd have liked, but still awesome nonetheless. Tomorrow the final new town.. Niagara!
