Kieran:

Sometime
during the day at the bar we heard what sounded a car back firing. We went and
looked out a window but didn't see anything so went back to our seats and
watched the news. A little while later a woman came out and announced that the
man had been caught so we got ready to leave. I was really happy about that
because my back was starting to hurt because I was sitting on a chair with no
back.

We went
outside and saw that a helicopter was landing in the field right next to the
pub because the man had shot himself in the woods in the field. There were ambulances
all over the place and another helicopter came that was huge. The two
helicopters were from the navy and the army and they were blowing a lot of
stuff off the ground so we had to cover our faces.

So not only
were we in a town with the shooting, we were next to the shooting. We wouldn’t
have gone inside unless the nice man had come out risking his life to tell us.
People here are really nice. They have helped us a lot.

The man had
killed 15 people and shot 25. Some were close to where we were and others in
towns far away. We took a bunch of pictures of what happened and I will load
them in soon.

We continued
with our day and drove to our first ATM. The money here is so weird. Grandma
said I found it way to fascinating. Well we finally have money now, so we can
actually buy stuff rather than starving to death on the road. We drove back
across the mountains and saw a bunch of sheep. There were these two mother and
baby sheep who were playing together.

We finally
got to the hotel around 7 or 8 and came up to our room. It is really pretty and
I will post and take photos tomorrow. Right now I am too tired. For dinner we
went to this beautiful little restaurant by a creek like thing and got pizza, a
taste test platter and more sticky toffee pudding. It was all delicious.

Kieran, you are an excellent writer. Keep up the blog. I love it. More pictures though. Grandma sounds a little tired. Don't wear her out too much.

I just read a Times news article about the shooting spree. Sounds like you people are lucky to be alive. Don't go getting yourselves killed in England!
