Lindsey is writing this entry so please forgive grammar spelling ect. also sadly no pictures were taken.

The drive from Chiang Mai to Mae tang is an hour so I woke up early to make sure i could get to the market down the street from the school, and still get there in time for Lunch.

It was really nice to be back up there. The smell of the fresh mountain air really brought back a lot of memories. I drove my motorbike to the school. I didn't know what to expect. I had contacted Dick and told him that I would be coming, but I wasn't sure if he informed the rest of the staff. I also didn't know how many of the kids would still be at the school, I knew some had gone to a new school in Chaing Rai, and some others had left. It had been almost 2 years since i had been there. I didn't even know if they would recognize me.

Luckily the schedule was the same as when I left, so I knew right were to find the kids. I waked into the room. The room was full of the familiar faces of the kids that i had been with for so long, and a bunch of new faces too. One of the girls looked up at me being the strange falang (white person) that i am when all of a sudden she jumped up gave me a hug and yelled out "kruu Lindsey." All of the other kids followed, even some of the ones i had never seen in my life. It was nice to have them all recognize me. Although it took me a second to remember all of their names. They had gotten so big and grown up. They were allowed to grow their hair long which was not allowed when i was there before.

We played for awhile before lunch. I started to notice that there were only about a handful of kids there and a lot were missing. I tried to ask someone about it but of course the message was lost in translation. I realized that either I have forgotten all the Thai i once knew or i spent my time in Thailand utterly confused not knowing what anyone was saying.

After lunch we rode around bikes, and went to go pick passion fruit in the garden (which was my favorite activity before). It was really nice to be back. I had missed the kids so much. A few hours after lunch, the rest of the kids i had been missing showed up. Apparently there had been a field trip, that during our 2 minute interaction, Dick had failed to mention. So another 12 children showed up with Asarama. Asarama was the Lisu teacher at the school and basically my savior and translator during my time there. I had a great time up there and it was hard to leave after dinner ( I had to get some free meals out of my time!). I decided that i would go spend a weekend up there after Laos, since all of the kids were begging me to come back and teach and i had so much fun!
