Hawaii ... here we come. After growing up with so many episodes of Hawaii-5-0, we had to stop by for the novelty of it. Also, KL wanted to see women dancing in coconut bras and straw skirts. I'm sure I'll be equally content with the surfer hunks along Waikiki beach! =)

Aloha! It's a definite shame we had to cut short our trip to Hawaii due to the recent earthquake. So our plans to the Big Island for the live volcanoes had to be shelved. Yes, Waikiki Beach was cheesy and touristy but I did enjoy our trip. The people were extremely friendly and pleasant, it was sunny, women clad in bikinis (KL like!), and we managed to see a couple of hula performances by sunset. Nice!
We saw so many Japanese tourists there that you would think you were in Japan (some were even pottering around in the traditional kimonos!). So there were a lot of Asian eateries much to our delight.
