Anyone who knows me can just imagine how unbelievably giddy I was as we made our way here.  Sure, it was a really long day full of a long ferry ride (with obnoxious children) and three long train rides.  However, as we got closer and the green hills began to pop out of the scenery, I could feel that pure excitement that only comes with the knowledge that you are about to enter a place you have only known in your dreams.  And Mel Gibson movies.

Anyway, I can't tell you how absurdly happy I am to be here.  Even when we were walking up the freaking mountain to get to our hostel I was in absolute euphoria.  This city is beautiful and vibrant.  The architecture is simply picturesque and the people are so light hearted you can't help but feel the same.

So we got here around 6:30 and checked in with our hostel, which is AWESOME.  There are actually doors on the showers!  And we each have our own locker with a security safe.  AMAZING.  And it seems like people are much warmer and outgoing here.

Oh, and I would also like you to know that I tried Haggis.  That is right ladies and gentlemen.  My first meal in Scotland was THE meal.  And guess what?  I ate every last bite.  Take that world travelers.  It was actually pretty good until Alissa started making sheep sounds and then all I could think about was the sheep intestines that were soon to be in my intestines.

Anyway, I'm in love with this city.  Tomorrow we go to do a free tour.  You heard me right, it is free.  And I can't wait.  So goodnight my dear readers.  I will be dreaming of the city I sleep in!

I could only imagine and your descriptive blogs take me there in thought for sure. I imagine the scenery is breathtaking and am looking forward to LOTS of pictures at the end of your journey. Continue to ENJOY, BE SAFE, and have LOTS of FUN with Alissa and in all new adventures.
