in the Texas Hill Country is home to LBJ’s ranch and serves as the center of
peach country in Texas. It’s a beautiful place, especially during the Peach
JAMboree Parade. Heading out to Marfa, we drove through Hill Country and
decided to stop and join in the festivities. There were floats and firetrucks
and longhorn cattle and pretty young women vying for the title of Miss
Peach JAMboree. We watched old tractors and tiny ponies wander about.
There is
nothing like waving to strangers, saying good morning, catching candy
thrown from handmade floats to put a smile on your face, and to
welcome you to Texas.
Well hello there Texas.
