Ok. So I get to the Caribbean Island and it's like a war zone. They had a terrible earthquake and everything is a mess. I am going around asking people if they have seen Devon the veterinarian. Someone tells me that she and her group of people were flown out of there just yesterday. I was too late. I decide to go back to the airport and catch a flight out. On the way to the airport there was people walking along the roads with just the clothes on their backs, looking for a safe place to stay. I guess Devon was here looking for survivors in the rubble. I wonder why she left.
I board the plane heading back to Seattle. While on the flight back I look out the window and see the blue green ocean below. What a beautiful sight. I have never really looked at the ocean like that before. Way up in the sky like this. It’s a five hour flight so I decide to call ahead to Devon’s Veterinarian Clinic to see if she was there. No one was answering the phone there and this was really strange to me. I hang up and decide to take a little nap before we land.
I am dreaming about the places I have been on my trip and the people that I have visited. Devon and "Dark Summer" is my last stop of my journey. Hopefully I can find her when we land. It’s been amazing so far and I don’t want it to be over yet.

I love it when a book is so good that you dread the ending. This happened to me once was reading the novel Microserfs by one of my favorite authors Douglas Coupland. I just stopped reading at the last chapter because I didn't want it to end. I finished it years later when I reread it. I'm silly!
BTW, you keep traveling to all these exotic destinations, and you never get to relax on the beach with a pina colada. What's up with that?
