On the road to Crescent City you encounter many things.  You have to stop every couple of miles to check out more of that gorgeous Oregon Coast.  Then you get to the border of California and there is a border patrol set up.  What am I going to Canada?  They stop my car and ask me about the foliage weaved in between the spokes on my bike.  My bike which looks like it has been in the desert for weeks and I just dug it out.

They seem to be concerned about two things.  Weed transport and botanical/insect infestation.  He says "Where did you get that stuff in the bike"  I say "The last 4 states"  He gives me a quizzical look (California Border Agent) and I say "I got it off the side of the road"  Now he's a little embarrassed and I have not idea why and he gives me the "just go, just go!" routine.  So go I do.

I keep at a petty pace down Highway 101 and the shore meets the mountains and the trees keep getting bigger.  Log cabins and lots of nothing towns along the way. Drive for a while check out nature and then a few stores pop up.  Then back on the road amazing vista here another there and then a few more stores.

Of course there are casino's too.  I may be losing my mind but, there is a cartoon on in the background called "Krypto The Super Dog" doesn't that defy the whole super thing in an etymological way.  Kryptonite, The planet Krypton.  I'm just saying I wouldn't name my dog Eartho or Arwen but, that's a whole other story.

Can you tell I'm trying to get caught up here.  The Patriots look like a fools gold operation right now.  Bad against good teams.  Who have they beaten this year and I'm a fan.
