Greetings Kewlabahs!

I have just spent the day checking out Split on a scooter i rented for twenty Australian dollars. I don't have any exciting stories to tell you about the scooter itself as so many others do. I didn't crash it, I didn't park it somewhere, get drunk and forget where it was in the morning and i didn't run anyone over. What i did do though, was spend the day making my way up to the highest point cross country style. I'm surprised the little scooter did so well throught the bush. The bush walkers and park rangers wern't very happy, i don't think your allowed to ride scooters through the national park. "Catch me if you can"

When i arrived in Split after a 9 hour train ride from Vienna i was greeted and whisked away by a Croatian couple who's house i somehow found myself staying at. I am living as apart of their family and even eat meals with them. I am afraid to stay out late because the mother will get angry with me, she was not happy about being on a scooter. I'm told that during summer most people open their houses up to guests and do all they can to accomodate them. It is costing me next to nothing and its nice to have a break from the hostel life- A bit more on that later.

I have been over to the Islands Hvar and Vis on an overnight boat cruise. The coastline is stunning and the views are equally impressive. One of my favourite places is what they call the blue cave. The light enters through tiny holes and illuminates the crystal clear blue water in an spectacular way. There are dozens of grottos and caves where we have stopped to swim, snorkel, party and relax.

I'm heading to Budapest tonight, where hopefully i'll be able to chill for a few days.

Until next time-

Toot Toot, Ring Ring, Tookie Tookie!
