We arrived in Milan at about 1230 in the morning after heaps of flight delays courtesy of easyjet. We got on the bus from the Milpansa airport and headed into the city. I thought that Milan was a pretty classy city and was worried i would spend heaps of cash. My thoughts soon changed as the line of hookers along the streets became thicker and thicker and the shady characters became more frequent.

We spent the next day in search of the Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Prada stores. After the first half of the day we were ready to give up as all i could find were people on the street with rugs layed out covered in fake belts, sunnies and watches. One guy started his negotiating with me for a belt at 25 euro and ended up happy to settle for 5 euro. I didn't buy the belt i wasn't interested in it, i was interested in haggling him.

We eventually found the mall that housed the big names next to the Milan Dome. We walked in looking like bums and on one side saw the Prada store, on the other Louis Vuitton, on the other Gucci and on the other MCDONALDS!! There were a few wives of Arab Sheikhs walking into the shops and coming out with heaps of stuff with their minders. We need to get into the oil business!

The language barrier isn't causing me any real problems which is pretty good almost everywhere i've gone people speak english. Which is pretty good but in some ways it takes a little away from a countries identity. In restaurants for example i'll order in whatever language and they'll reply in english, i guess they want to practice.

Okay,

TICK TACK TOE, HERE I GO, WHERE I STOP I DO NOT KNOW!

toot toot, ring ring, tookie tookie!
