The chance to see an entire theatre-museum built by the man who personifies surrealism was an opportunity that could not be ignored, so we hopped on a train and headed to Figueres and the home of Dali.
From the very on-set we were astounded. The architecture and façade of the building is like nothing you've seen, and we had just spent the week looking at the work of Gaudi. The works exhibited outside were more than convincing that this museum would be worth the admission price, no matter what the cost. We were not at all disappointed, seeing the amazingly wide range of work Mr. Dali is responsible for, including intricate stamp size portraits, whole wall paintings, 10 foot tall sculptures, moving contraptions, optical illusions and all other manner of wonderments. Ann was left saying more than once, "new favourite artist", hard not to agree after being here.
