Gradiste Beach - once flaunted by the Macedonian's as a party capital, attracting revellers by the bus load, was now little more than a pimped up surfer's paradise with drunken teens holidaying with their parents. Not quite what we were looking for, yet still an entertaining way to spend Ann's birthday. We had a few drinks, met a few locals and spent most of our time just relaxing by and in the waters of Lake Ohrid, which were absolutely pristine and amazing (they really have done a great job keeping it clean).

Ann also got to enjoy surprise birthday pancakes - so all was not lost in the end.
