Pag is known for its cheese, which is great and for its party beaches, which are not. Suffering from metres of beautiful undisturbed coastline as the rest of this side of Croatia is, we enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the water – foolishly then deciding to see Zrcye beach, we essentially traded the magnificent views to be surrounded by European muscleheads, geeks and stalkers ogling the few sets of female appendages who braved the day there. Before nightfall the go-go dancers were already out and jiggling away when we decided we'd seen enough and made a quick change of plans to leave the island then and there.
