Where I stayed
The city itself is beautiful and the Jewish Quarter was fantastic to explore. We managed to catch the annual Jewish Festival as well as a taste for the nightlife - which is predominately young kids getting obnoxiously drunk and stumbling over each other - bus routes are also impossible to find.
We did manage to find a great cellar bar (and catch the Germany thrashing of England), as well as a moderately awesome 5 level club. The inhabitants weren't all that cool unfortunately, and the city was not everything we had hoped for. The reality of having left Berlin, and the intensely high bar it set for every other place we would now visit, was now really beginning to set in (you can't even drink on the street - as the riot police combing the streets kindly informed me)
A saviour came in the form of Ann being as drunk (probably drunker) than the aforementioned kids on the cheapest bottle of vodka we've bought to date. Seeing a little "wietnamska" girl hiccup and stumble her way across the largest medieval town square in Europe was amazing!
Our last mention has to be for the fantastic family-run campsite we stayed in, easily one of the best on our trip, and actually contained a few Polish people who were friendly to us!
