Where I stayed
Today we went to Disneyland. This was a great day and we started it off with what turned out to be my favorite ride. It was the Ghost Galaxy! This was a great ride- it was like Space Mountain but you were chased by an UGLY ghost\goblin.
Then we went over to the Matterhorn Bobsleds which was like Mt. Everest in the way that it was made. It was a big mountain and you were looking for the abominable snowman. This was a much rougher ride than the Ghost Galaxy one, but was definitely fun.
We went over to the Haunted Mansion which was dressed up with the Nightmare Before Christmas people for Halloween. It was interesting seeing the way they made it and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride
We walked around a little bit and then we rode Splash Mountain.
We then went to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster's ride with was very fun and we rode it 4 times.
Then we went to It's a Small World and we saw 42 different Disney characters during the ride. We then went to Downtown Disney and I got a new jacket, then we came home and my contacts are killing me, I have a headache, and I don't want to type anymore.
Just a quick note about the photos that we put on the website. If you click on the photo you can read the title of the picture as well as the caption that goes with it. Some of you may not know that the pictures open up larger
Well Noah is exhausted and he's not the only one! James and I are sorer today from walking on the asphalt than we were during any of our hikes (but we are not breathing heavy so I guess everything has its tradeoff).
This was our first time in Disneyland and we enjoyed it very much. The park is well laid out and we could see a lot of Walt's ideas in it. Rides are different than in Florida- even rides with the same name were very different. We enjoyed that as it gave us something new to see as well.
The parks were not crowded so that made it enjoyable. We highly recommend visiting this park if you are over on this side of the USA.
For Chuck's sake: dinner tonight was takeout pizza. James was too cheap to buy the $30 pizza in Disney so we walked out of the park (which is REALLY easy and not difficult at all) and bought pizza at a local joint for $14 and ate in our room with our sodas.
The weather in Anaheim was 78 today. It was gorgeous.
Tomorrow morning we get up and head to San Simeon. It will take 5 hours from here depending on traffic.
Hope you all are doing well. I'm going to bed too!
