Hi from La Jolla!

Here is today's events. Today we went to Seaworld! Turned out that today was a sorta chilly day but we got over it. Once there mom and I got our pic with otter and then went to the BAKERY!!! I got a huge piece of fudge, dad got a banana nut muffin, and mom got a enormous cookie. Then we headed over to SLL or sea lions live starring Seymour the sl, Clyde the sl, and Biff a person.

The opener was HILARIOUS!!! Biff was a janitor and pretended to be cleaning and then started to watch TV. He was flipping channels and every channel had some type of Tv show music he dressed up like a character such as the Brady Bunch, Hannah Montana, Jones, Batman... you get the picture He went thru about 20 channels. Then the show began which was very good. S.L.S.I. agent Clyde was on the case. Then the sea lions sang on Lion Idol where Seymour sang! Later the Lions had "seavivor" and then they "Danced with the Seal Lions!" Definitely a good show. Then it was off to the Shamu show where we sat in the SOAK ZONE!!! dadadadonnnnn!!!! Luckily we didn't get wet. Very good show but the people right across the isle got SOAKED!!!!!!!

Then we strolled and found out that every ride was closed.  We went to the bat ray feeding area and got four squid.  This was a great experience and was pretty cool as they SUCKED it UP from your hand.Later we watched the Petsrule show and Hobo you better get ready 'cause mom got that look in her eye! The show was unbelievable- they trained shelter dogs and they were great!! Cats walked tightropes, pigs pushed buttons of dynamite (Hammy!) and (this is for you Wanda and Keith) a lab cranked a wheel and made Weiner dogs come out of a hotdog stand!

Our final show was Blue Horizons which was a dolphin and bird and human show. The dolphins did jumps and the humans did fancy trick dives 30 feet above the water. It was a good show -the birds just sorta flew around but it reminded me a little bit of Disney.
Miss you all.

Another trip to La Jolla Cove to see and film the seals.  They were sill in a relaxed pose as you'll see on the video.  One seal kept staring at us- he was so cute!

Seaworld is one of the first non-Disney parks we have visited.  Chris, Laura, and Nadia H. all went to Seaworld in Florida and loved it so we thought we'd give it a try.  The shows were excellent- we saw the four that they had playing today and they were exceptionally good.  The park was fairly deserted so we did not have any crowd issues.

We did not realize there weren't many rides at the San Diego SeaWorld, but the shows did make up for that.  The 2 rides we were interested in were closed unfortunately.  The food was EXCELLENT in the park- it's not your standard fast food.

Dinner tonight was in Ocean Beach at Hodad's.  They are a hamburger joint that is supposed to have a world famous hamburger.  It is decorated with license plates- we were glad to see some from Virginia!  We shopped around Ocean Beach for a bit and then went to the beach which happened to be a DOG Beach!  We wished we had Hobo with us!

James drove us over to Balboa Park which had a few evening events going on at the various museums.  It was after 7 so we figured the events were private (also everyone else was very dressed up so we didn't get out of the car).

We are relaxing in the room tonight trying to store up some energy!

Hope you all are well,
Rhonda
