Fast train from Madrid to Barcelona only took two 3/4 hours reaching a speed of 300km. Arrived in beautiful sunshine and settled into our cute apartment in the old Gothic quarter with narrow alleyways, plazas, cafes, shops and restaurants around us. It'sfantastic.
Headed over to La Ramblas to soak up the atmosphere and get a feel for the place. Just as we were taking a photo, the camera slipped out of Craig's hand and smashed on the sidewalk. We got over our distress with a few drinks and a beautiful dinner at the restaurant across from our front door.
