After having done most of the sightseeing on my first vist to Buenos Aires. This brief stop I am hoping to absorb the atmosphere of this wonderful city and a bit of last minute shopping. I stayed at La Menesunda Hostel after receiving some recommendation from Huei-min and Dilip. The hostel is located in an area call Boedo. It is a nice area of Buenos Aires, there are lots of cafes and bars. More importantly at the corner of Boedo and San Juan there is the famous Esquina Homero Manzi. It is a historical corner of Buenos Aires steeped in local tradition. The bar that was built on this site in 1927 became a symbol of the urban culture of the Forties, hosting many of the popular musicians who turned tango into the foremost artistic expression of Buenos Aires.

I have experienced the music and dance of Argentina, Peru and Brazil, my favourite is still the Tango. I simply canīt get enough of Tango. So what else to do in Buenos Aires but to watch another Tango show at Esquina Homero Manzi! It was not as extravagant as La Ventana but nevertheless still very entertaining. I browsed through the mall of Av Florida looking for Tango music and DVD. I stopped short of buying Tango books since they were all in Spanish.

Tomorrow morning I will return to Santiago for the last leg of my 9 weeks journey!
