After almost 14 hours of bus ride, I finally got to Foz do Iguaçu. Finally bad weather has caught up with me. It rained the whole day on Thursday. I spend most of the day at the Bird Park with the intention to checkout the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. I spent so much time in the Bird Park that I had to leave the waterfall for the next day. First it was the Tucans. There was one so close that I could stop taking pictures of it. Then I discovered the butterfly house which also is where the Humming Birds were kept. Makes perfect sense as both eat the same stuff! It was very hard to take photos of these fast moving birds. I must have spend hours taking photos. I only left the bird park because my lens had condensation due to the rain. Otherwise I probably would have stayed until it closed.

I returned the next morning and the weather had improved. The Iguazu Falls is truely spectacular. I was quite amazed how impressed I was with the falls. I initially had planned to skip the falls for something else in South America. I must had shot over 100 photos of the Falls in the morning and this is only the Brazilian side! With the sun out and shinning, there is always a rainbow over the falls. I took a 10 minutes helicopter ride over the fall giving a unique perspective from the sky.

I guess it is possible to do the Brazilian side of the Falls and the Bird Park in a day but it will be a bit of a rush. I had rushed around for the last 8 weeks and with the end of the holiday in sight I decided I need to relax a bit more.
