We just arrived at 7:10 am at the train station in Moscow. We had lower bunks in a room, with a very nice couple (architects) sleeping above us...no snores, thank God! And they went to bed--lights out--in agreement with us...We were met at the station by my son's internet friend, a Russian 22-year-old wonder boy with computers that already has a website selling software. He met us with his car, and we were taken to who knows where in Moscow (it's a sea of apartment buildings) to his new apartment on who knows what floor with polished wood plank flooring. I am sitting on a futon on the floor with a bambi cover, with Chris' laptop on my outstretched legs, using the resident WIFI to get on the net, and an overly friendly grey cat that had to be told that his/her place is to the right of the plugged-in mouse, NOT on it...:)) I bought a Stephen King thick book of short stories yesterday, so will just kick back until our host has some sleep (he had one hour sleep after partying all night). I don't know how he was able to make the drive to the train station to pick us up...I guess youth has it! Wanting to treat our host to a dinner, I invited him to take us to his favorite restaurant...you guessed it: the local MacDonald's!
