I love love loved Positano!! It was a really small town (it only had one road that weaved up the hill throughout the whole city) and everyone there was really welcoming and we felt very safe there. Positano is right of the Amalfi coast, so we took a ferry along the coast to get there--gorgeous views!! In the movie Under the Tuscan Sun, Positano is where Marcello lived and the movie doesn't even do justice to how beautiful it was there. There wasn't really any sites to see or anythings so we just got to relax on the beach and get a great suntan for two days! We were sitting on the rocks one day when a couple came running up and jumped into the sea. They of course talked us into doing it as well even though the water was freezing cold and we didn't have swimsuits on (I wore tights and a t-shirt!!) It was so worth it though and gave us all a great story to talk about when we got back. Sarah and I decided to rent a moped after that--yeah a moped in Europe!! Sarah didn't know how to drive one so she hopped on back of mine and we went for a half-hour cruise around Positano. We got some funny glances from the locals and had a lot of people passing us because we were only going the speed limit, but it was way worth it and now I can check that off my list of things to do in Europe!!
