Oh Dijon. What a funny little town it is. My experience here in France has certainly been unforgettable and my heart frowns when I am reminded of how little time I have left here. There are certainly things I miss (warm cars, rain boots, ice tea, yummy cereal, and pizza) but my time here has been so incredible I'm not really sure where to begin.
France is such a funny place to me sometimes. Some of the stereotypes are true: they never freaking work! Everything closes at 7pm - everything. On Mondays, the city is dead. But on Saturdays, the city center is jam-packed you can barely even walk the streets. For the past few weekends I've stayed in Dijon. One weekend there was a sports tournament between my school and four others. It was so completely French, which I found hilarious. If a team was too tired to play a game, they'd just postpone it until the next day or just cancel it all together - no forfeits or anything. It was completely unorganized. The sports played were football (soccer), rugby, basketball, volleyball, and handball. Handball is a French sport, but I had actually played it before in OSU intramurals so it was fun to watch. And they had a cheerleading contest between schools and the cheerleaders were very serious about their performance but I thought it was an absolute riot because it was terrible! Haha. It was painful - but hilarious.
This past weekend was the opening of the Christmas Market (which we found out we had when we unexpectedly ran into it on a Saturday stroll) and the skating rink. (Well, its hardly a rink... it's actually tiny and quite pitiful but fun nonetheless) AND the best part is the city center has Christmas lights everywhere! They have been putting up Christmas lights since the beginning of November so we've been anticipating them actually turning them on! And they finally did! It is so nice!

I have some added some more photos in the album so check it out!
As for school, my semester is coming to a close. I have two finals this week and then I only have one more test before I leave! This coming weekend I'm going to Brussels to meet Lindsey and I cant wait!
