OMG I have found a ciy that gives London a run for its money! Hong Kong is soooooooo cool!!!! Totally different to the rest of China (as expected) but just so cool!!!

In the miniscule time that I had here I managed to fit in lots and lots! On my first day I walked aimlessly around Kowloon just getting a feel for the city....ended up at Avenue of Stars which is on the waterfront (that's lined by so so many skyscrapers....never seen so many i my life!)...Ave of Stars has loads of Chinese filmstars' handprints and name plaques on the floor (like in Holywood or wherever!)...felt like a right geek snapping away at Jet Li's, Jackie Chan's and Bruce Lee's handprints but it had to be done...pretty cool! Then met up with the rest of my tour group for our last night together....went to Temple Street night market to a street restaurant that looked so dodgy but tasted soooooo good! Then hit the bars....went to a really plush one first on the waterfront which was gorgeous to see all the skyscrapers lit up like rainbows! Ordered some v expensive cocktails....couldn't taste any bloody alcohol in it though could I....better sticking to the crack-houses like the Griff n Catch rights girls!?!!? We all kinda did a secret santa a-la-Chinese thing....I ended up with a bottle of rice wine (and a little chinese outfit to dress the bottle in!!!)....56% alcohol content....that got downed in about 10mins or so (by the group not just me....!!)...then headed to Hard Rock Cafe for some seriously cool live music...dancing the night away to The Eagles, Van Morrison and the like....was so wasted....took ages to get back to the hotel....reminded me of in Uni when it took us (read: me) over an hour to walk up North Sherwood Street!!!

Next day I headed over to Hong Kong Island....trammed it up Victoria Peak for some awesome views over HK....strangely enjoyed just standing there looking down for ages....if it's possible to stalk a city...I did it good and proper! Then had a wander round Holywood Road at some antiques...thought I'd try an be a bit classy to redeem myself from last night! Also checked out Man Mo temple where they string from the ceiling massive coils of incence that just burn round in circles. Then headed over to Stanley Street Market....didn't think much of the so-called 'world famous' market....just looked like a load of Chinese tack we import and sell daaaan Dalston...but it's at a harbour so I just sat and people-watched (like an old granny!!) then strolled along the promenade (can you tell it cost me a fortune in taxis to get there so I was reluctant to leave!!) Ended the day goig to watch the Lights Show on the waterfornt but missed it (oops) so got a ferry over to HK Island (yup I was reeeally packing in the sights!) then just strolled around Ladies Market in Mong Kok (!) in search of a bargain....but was so shopped-out I left empty handed!! Am craving the beach!!!

Deffo not finished with HK....will be back one day fo sho!!

Malaysia next...without the tour group....scary stuff!!!
