Wow I am looking forward to the weekend. Even though I am not working job hunting for permanent roles is different and more difficult than working in a bar. I seem to have an interview every day this and last week which is also super tiring. I am hopeful for getting a job as I was told today that I am through to the last stage which is a role play which should be interesting. I have an interview tomorrow with a competitor so hopefully I will get at least one offer.
If I do get a permenent offer then I would have to change all my plans. I would probably have to rush the states and I would probably go home in Dec rather than Feb and everything just closes down here over Christmas. I would use all my holiday but now I have decided I want to make a go of things here I don't see the point in messing around for a couple of months then wasting more time in going home then back.
I have joined a gym and go on average 5-6 times a week as I am not working.  I hope to get used to that level of exercise then maintain it once I start working full time. Most people go to gym either at lunchtimes or after work as considering that my gym is 5 minutes from either of the places I am looking at then about 10 minutes from home it will hopefully be easy to maintain. At least nothing like the UK with a massive journey required to get home from work.
I have had 6 interviews in 2 weeks. I think salaries here are lower than at home because you get a better quality of life. Some things are cheaper so I am looking at flats which are 2 mins from the best going out street and they are 800 a month which is the same as I was paying in UK to live 30 minutes train from town. So obviously I dont have travel costs. Food is more expensive than home...especially fruit and veg. Technology is stupidly expensive also. I will definately buy stuff in the US or UK when I go home.
I am starting to meet people here which is also nice. I met a great English girl at the Celiedh I went to on saturday and I go dancing and gym. I have even started Capoera today which is a Brazillian martial art with lots of breakdancing bits in it which is scary but I am going to see if I can do it. I imagine I will be super fit if I can do it twice a week along with running and weights. I have also found a salsa and ceroc classes and I am going to try and go to the theatre before I start a job so I am starting to get my life together. It is such a relief after living out of a backpack for 6 months.
