We eventually arrive in the cattle station from Karijini 6 hours after we left. It was in middle of nowhere off the highway with nothing around it. It was full of that great red dirt we had so much fun with in Karijini so I elected to keep my backpack on the bus and just live with what I had worn in Karijini. The rooms were for three people which suited us fine but it was hilarious watching the girls take ten minutes to decide who was going to go in which room. I took charge of Carbonara which was awesome and felt good to do some proper cooking although I have never seen that much food before. Quiet time was from 9pm so wasn't a crazy night out!
Another long day in the car. We had an hours break at 80 mile beach which is basically a really long beach with great sand and warmish water. I was pretty shocked when one of the girls got topless for group photos...mmm not very classy! We did a shell picture a little swimming then it was back on the bus for an hour before lunch on the side of the road. It was 39 degrees when we stopped and I did worry a little about Broome and how hot it was going to be!
Eventually we pull into Broome about 5pm and get a mini tour on the bus. At first glance it looks like a nice place and one of the biggest we have seen since leaving Perth. It was a bit of a relief to be in a place that had more than one shop and pub.
