The plane ride was long. And cramped. It was overbooked and they were asking people to give up their seat, I was not willing, but it just meant I was cramped into the middle aisle seat. No sleeping for this girl. I did however watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matagascar, and the food network (yeah I know, how cool is that on a plane). Since no sleeping was done on the plane, I was up for over 24 hours. I was overwhelmed (obviously) and miserable. Yesterday I took a nap (don't know if that was a good idea or bad) went shopping a little, and then went out to eat at Centre City with all of the people that live in Oak House. we found a so cute restaurant and bar called Moon over the Water. It looked like an old theatre and was very layed back. I had my first official fish and chips and a pint of some domestic manchester beer. I haven't had any appitite at ALL (I haven't really eaten in 4 days...), so I only finished about 1/4 of my meal. I went to bed last night at 12, and woke up at 2
. I couldn't sleep again until about 4:30...Jet lag is awful. Feeling pretty homesick right now, but it comes an goes, which is a good sign. Went more shopping today (I can only buy what I can carry). I have orientation this afternoon, and then we're going phone and pillow shopping (the pillow they gave us cannot even be considered a pillow.)this evening. My cell phone works here like it should, but it ran out of battery, and the charger does not work w/ the converter. What a pain, but at least I got my internet up and working. I'm still overwhelmed, and still feel like catching the next plane out, but hopefully that will subside soon. I'll keep you updated on my next few days..

hey kell...it'll get better! mom said today that you're acting just like i did when i first went to band camp for college. (a big difference) but it'll get better! we all miss you!
