Today started really early for Thomas as the rental had to be returned.  Kelly stayed in bed for a well deserved sleep in, not that it really happened as she was woken by friends calling.

Thomas returned from returning the rental and dragged Kelly out of bed kicking and screaming.  Quickly across for a McDonald breakfast and then it was on the bus for a ride to the airport.  Once at the airport we boarded a plane which took us over Lake Meed and the Hoover Dam, amazing stuff.  We finally arrived at the Grand Canyon airfield and it was on to a Helicopter for a ride to the Canyon floor.  Kel had never been in a Helicopter so this was a really exciting experience for her, Thomas was an old hat at flying in helicopters but still really loved it. There is nothing like hovering really low and then suddenly there is now ground beneath you as you come over the lip of the canyon. Once on the Canyon floor it was onto a boat for a quick ride up the river and a history lesson on the Native Indians that was very interesting.  Back onto the Helicopter for a flight back up top and onto a bus that took us out to a viewing platform that was called the Skywalk, a thick glass platform that aloud you to look all the way to the bottom of the canyon.  Thomas didn't bother going on this - as heights are not his thing.  Then onto another bus that took us to the end of the ridge for lunch and one of the best panaramic views of the Canyon.  After lunch it was back onto the plane and back to Las Vegas.

The night consisted on meeting everyone at Paris Paris for the most amazing buffet you can ever imagine - there was food for miles and everything tasted divine!  Every provence of France was reprecented.  Frozen Margaretas in hand we decided to explore the stip of Vegas a bit more.  Going to the Venetian to see the gonalas and the  amazing reception ceiling.  Then we went through Treasure Island and then across to the Mirage to see the Volcano show.  Midnight hit and it was time to go home and sleep, big night tomorrow with Shaun's 30th Birthday.

Amazing...
I'm surprised you two are still standing, what with the busy schedule (and frozen margaritas). Luckily Steve's there as the designated driver :)

Letter from Mumsy
Great reading. Just love all the detail. Can't wait to see the photos. Always wanted to go to Mexico, but now don't think I missed out on anything. The grand canyon though - WOW. Thomas put me on a helicopter ride the Gold Coast and I just loved it. So glad you went Kel - amazing experience. Can't wait for the next instalment.
Love you both
