Where I stayed
Today we woke up to no sunshine again, but decided we were going to head out and do the Lonely Planet guide's walking tour of San Fran. After getting half way down the street we decided not to anymore as the rain started, so we went shopping a but. Then Jack wanted to eat, so we got him some food and sat watching the rain get worse and worse. We braved it for a little while as we walked through Chinatown, but i'd had enough, so we found refuge in a cafe, where we were in need of a cuppa :) back to the Lonely Planet to see what else we could.....not a lot in this weather, was the answer to that! We went in search of a fortune cookie factory advertised in the guide, but in real life, i have no idea where it was. Back to the hostel to escape the rain, we wrote postcards, planned the next leg of the trip and played/tried to play guitar.
Later the rain stopped and we went down to the local Border's bookshop to get a few things, sat and had a drink and then went to Macy's. Went up all 7 floor's, decided it had nothing for us and went shopping for dinner.
Back at the hostel again we cooked dinner, found my lost, stray socks, booked an extra night in Monterey after discovery that the over night bus on Thursday involved 4 hours sitting in a bus station from 3am!!!! Then an evening which was going to be action packed turned into a practice session for Jack, and a travel blog marathon for me!
