We woke about 9 today, but for no reason particularly. We appreciated having a morning off to relax, recharge and hang out in our apartment, it was like being on holiday! We found ourselves in the local shop buying spaghetti on toast for lunch...comfort food! We then decided that continuing the relaxation was a good idea, so Molly's friend, Mike, drove us to a pretty local park. It was beautiful, almost like being at home, in a heatwave! There were lots of trees and a river running through it, so we set up camp on a big rock on the edge of the river, and soaked up more sun while dabbling our feet in the water. Jack played his guitar, so he was very happy, we took some nice photos of the scenery, it was so hard to believe we were so near America’s capital! A long walk then took us back to the apartment, via the supermarket, and we cooked curry for tea. Didn’t do much else after that, settled down to watch a film and did some washing, very domestic!!!
