Day 30
The official wake up call this morning was at 8:00, but a few got up earlier and snuck into the laundromat - a very short walk from our campsite - even before the Breakfast Crew was up. There were only 5 washers and dryers, so we "buddied up" and later, many went with Mr. Troy into town to find another laundromat, so we could finish as quickly as possible.
By the time we had all finished our laundry, it was noon. We enjoyed a quick lunch at our beloved KOA and then piled onto the buses for our seven hour drive. We stopped for lunch at a very pretty and convenient site, a stretch of green near a trickling river and bathrooms. As dinner was prepared, Bro. Ni, Bridget and Dan, Brian, and Clarke, and Shajuan played an exhilarating game of Scrabble, while Mr. Troy headed Frisbee with Kelly and Kasey, and Chris and Frank led football.
We had chili with saffron rice for dinner, and then traveled for a few more miles until we crossed the border into CANADA! British Columbia greeted us with a first on the USA trip - a 7-11 sighting! There money confusion ensued, with Canadian coins being given back instead of bills. An American dollar bill was accepted, but Canadian money was returned.
We returned to the buses and continued driving until 11 p.m., reaching our campsite at North Thompson River Park. There were no bathrooms, literally only porta-potties, which we made use of and soon went to sleep.
