What we did:

Up about 8:30 for another sumptuous Estherea breakfast. This morning Nancy had a "Toastie" made for us which is a yummy grilled cheese, sliced meat, tomato, etc sandwich. They also have two coffee machines which are available all day for your use and they make good coffee. I prefer a Café Latte and Espresso combo myself. If you have the munchies during the day there's always some cookies & cakes on the side table to go with your coffee and different nuts at the bar behind you. After some discussion/thought and a 5 minute walk we are the Royal Palace of Amsterdam via the Magna Plaza which is like a shopping mall in a palace. Nice Royal Palace, good well organized concise audio guide with secondary options but a tough shooting environment (1600 ASA & 1/8 second & one 15 second exposure). After the Palace it was the same 5 minute "slog" back to our hotel and some drinks and snack. Then we decided to see the “Nine Streets” and the best store was the first which had new women’s cloths and antique other things. The proprietor was a very nice lady and the most friendly of any we met,      not to mention the Estherea bought light fixtures from her shop when they renovated. Other than that store the “9 streets” was quite interesting but probably not a big shopping area for locals (we did enter & check out 8 stores). Again, when we were burned out and wanted to bail, 7 minutes later we walked back to Estherea. While staying at the Estherea I bought ˝ liter Landerbrau beer for one Euro at the “head shop” across from the rear of the hotel so it was quite handy. For supper we went back to the Haesje Claes restaurant and had some more great food. We both had the 3 course meal with smoked Mackeral/sauce & salad appetiser, Poached Salmon in Bernaise sauce main course, lemon pie and coffee. All wonderfully done again a great way to finish our last night in Amsterdam.    .
