What we did:

We caught a 9:30 tours and tickets tour bus to Zaanse Schans, Volendam, and Marken in the Dutch country returning after a walk back from the downtown dropoff about 3:00. We relaxed some on the front porch before getting a delicious supper at Bert's again which we ate on our front porch. We chatted some with other guests comparing our travels before deciding to check out the Anne Frank house which was 10 minutes away. It was about 8:15 and not busy so only took 5 minutes to get in. I went through in 15 minutes because I was familiar enough with the story and just wanted to see the place while 30-45 minutes would be average tour. I waited outside with a great view of the canal boats and people traffic, while snapping pictures. This may be my favourite thing to do and Amsterdam is one of the best places for it because the Dutch are a good looking and fit bunch of people. As well, the unique layout and combination of car & bike lanes, boat traffic, foot traffic means the action is none stop in all modes. Every now and then you would hear a canal party boat coming and before long they’d pass right by all caught up in their fun. After the Anne Frank House we walked back a different way, past some happy, busy bars which were spilling out on the street and Magna Plaza across the street from the Palace.
