What we did:

Up at 6:15 for our longest driving day of the tour at 690 km. It's a lovely day and interesting scenery going through the Pyrenees back to France past a lot of windmills. It’s pretty country and after a few rest stops we stopped in Arles at 1:10 for a one lunch break. Arles is an old roman town and you could spend a few days here. Back on the road for the best scenery so far and arriving in Nice at 5:15. We had our showers dressed up for our Monte Carlo night out. I had some difficulty picking this option because it leaves no time to see Nice but it was a very good choice. It was worth it to see the beautiful Nice to Monte Carlo area and buildings near the casino and restaurant. We got back to our hotel at 00:40 so I'll do and update on the bus tomorrow and hopefully the next hotel has decent internet as well.
