Kenny (our host) brought us a traditional breakfast from the market this morning, yesterday was Nasi Lemak and today was roti (which is a cross between naan bread and pancake). Headed out to stroll around the sights of Melaka, and went up the white observation tower, the 'Melaka Taming Sari'. This lifts you up 60m and spins slowly around so you can see the sights of Melaka and take some pictures.

Afterwards we tried waiting for the "Panorama Bus" but that never turned up, so we ended up in Zheng He Tea House, which had been recommended by another traveller. We spent almost two hours drinking olong tea, as part of a traditional Chinese tea ceremony!

In the evening we went out for a meal on the river - vege fried rice which was yum, and cheap - meals here are around 1pound or less for a plate! We then went to the night market which we'd started doing some Christmas shopping in the night before, and Sophie picked up some more Christmas presents then vowed not to go back there again as it's getting expensive!

We did sit down to watch the Karaoke after (it's like a national sport, and they are just as good at it as England are at football!), the whole street was watching these poor people on stage doing live public singing! But the wind suddenly picked up, (Sophie didn't believe me when I said I saw lightning) the locals started to pack up the market, then the rain suddenly came down very heavy! We downed our drinks and legged it back to the guest house, arriving back soaked through. There's never a taxi when you need one!
