back to english... i have a link in my hc-profile to this travelpod, so i should write in english...

zach and me, we got up pretty early in the morning... after almost 1hour of walking, taking trams and walking again, we arrived at the gas station which was recommended for hh to the south. we asked some people if they go to katowice, unfortunately nobody did. so we got a board in the shop, wrote down the name of this city and moved back to the street which leads to south. we noticed that there were around 5 other hitchhikers standing behind us, getting angry because they thought that we just arrived and we should queue. they got the ride before us anyway, so no need for bad feelings! many cars passed by... also a german one which turned off to the gas station. what could we lose?? so zach asked them if they would take us to katowice (they had a car for about 10 ppl!). and they did!! so we had our first ride to the south. unfortunately they kicked us out on the "highway" (in poland there are no highways, just streets which are meant to be good ones...) cause they wanted to take the next exit. and i reeeally had to pee... but there was no tree or bush or anything else. but it worked somehow... after maybe 10min we got the next ride of a man aged about 50, moustache, let's say podgy... just polish speaker. luckily zach speaks some polish. about 20words. enough to explain were we wanted to go. but unfortunately not enough to understand what this guy wanted to tell us. anyway, i have to admit that i was quite impressed by zachs language skills.. so next stop: gas station close to the border to the czech republic. had to spend our zlotis. so we bought some food in the shop and spent the rest for WODKA! backpack was somehow slightly heavier afterwards... got a ride from a car with a french license plate. but nobody was speaking french. they were 3 guys, all of them looked like kind of delinquent people but they seemed to be quite ok. but there was almost no space for us. took me quite a while till i had my passport in my hand... and yeah, i'm swiss, and i understand when your talking about "swizjera" or something like this... and yeah, my passport is red. not my fault... they brought us to the border. there we wrote this huge board (maybe 1m20cm...) BRATISLAVA. actually, it took us more time to write that then to get a ride. quite soon an italian car stopped. one guy inside. alfa romeo. doesn't look like somebody who gives a ride. but he did!! maybe because i asked him in italian? his name was manuel, he was 31, just bad english speaker and i'm too bad in italian so there was no real conversation for about 3hours to bratislava. but there was another thing. we got lost and we weren't sure anymore in which country we actually are. a friendly jogger helped us out so we found the way back to the main road. was pretty funny. so this italian guy brought us to the city center of bratislava, capital of slovakia.
