From People's Park in the Sky we took a super windy road down the mountain to the shore of the lake where we caught a small boat that would take us to the island. Once we got to the island we paid for horses with guides to take us up the side of the volcano. The village where we rented the horses was pretty remote. Like Deliverance remote, but the view was incredible.
