I made one more trip to Downtown Amsterdam this evening.  I got to the airport (where I pick up the train) at 6pm.  Right in the middle of rush hour.  I remember watching TV and seeing a bunch of Asian people cram on a train and thought that was crazy how they were all squished in.  Well, it happened to me when I went to get on the train.  There was a bunch of people squishing in through one doorway and I saw another doorway about 15 feet away that didn't have a line, so I made my way over there and found out the reason it didn't have a line anymore, was because it was stuffed.  I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes for a train so I jammed myself in there and was pretty happy that I just barely made it in.  Surprisingly enough though, just before the doors closed, 2 more people pushed there way through too.  It was a regular clown circus act!  We remained squished like this until the next stop about 8-10 minutes later and finally we were able to get some space.
I stopped at an Organic Delicacy Eatery and had a slice of Pumpkin and Leek quiche along with a chickpea salad.  Very yummy.  And so was the Lemon Ginger Soda I had to go along with it.
When I was at home reading about Amsterdam, there was a site that mentioned that American Tourists could easily be picked out because of their white tennis shoes and sure enough that's what I was wearing on Sunday.  So, tonight I thought I'd be cool and keep my black boots on while I walked around.  Bad idea, about 20 minutes into my walk, I knew I was going to be in trouble and an hour into my walk I was really praying that my white "American Tourist" tennis shoes were on my feet!  It felt so good to take them off once I got back to the hotel.
