After a hearty breakfast at the Inn of Wyoming, we headed north towards the Tetons.  We made a slight detour to Teton Village to see what all the fuss was about and what made it so special.  Still don't know the answer to that question.  Their was few nice resorts and yes, it was right next to the next to the ski lifts, but it wasn't as quaint as we thought it would be.  We were expecting something like Blowing Rock, NC.  We didn't want to backtrack the 10 miles to get back to the main road to head up to Yellowstone, so we decided to take a shortcut and cut through the Grand Teton National Forest on our way up.  It sounded simple enought, yet when we got to the gate entrance of the GTNF, the attendent wanted $25.00 to enter, even though we were going to spend no more than 10 miles on the parkway.  We sweet talked him a bit though and showed him our Yellowstone Entrance slip (we got it as part of the Yellowstone Institute program cost) and he finally let us on by.  We were on the lookout for animals, but to no avail.  However, the scenery was beautiful and they the mountains were ice capped glaciers - BEAUTIFUL.  Of course, we had to stop for a Kodak moment!
