We chose this Ranch based on really great reviews from Trip Advisor and we were not let down.  This was the childrens first ride on a horse and David and Kelly's first ride in over 20 years!  We were joined by a Mom and her 2 older college aged children as well as the leader of the "pack".  Can't remember his name, he was older gentleman who travels all over the country with his wife via a mobile home and takes on temporary jobs such as this.  We all followed behind him as we went up in elevation over 2000 feet.  Thank goodness it was the horses doing all the climbing!  Jacob had a little difficulty getting a handle on his horse "Ace" as it seemed to have a mind of its own in the beginning of the ride.  Rebekah's "Kimmie" was well behaved and Rebekah handled her very nicely.  Joe's horse "Snowball" kept stopping on the way back to snack on grasses and flowers.  David's horse had flatulance issues and Kelly's kept going "#2" thoughout the trip.  We had a fantastic 2 1/2 hour trip and WOW - what a Panaramic View at the top - that alone was worth the cost of the trip!

After we finished the ride and learned how to walk normal again, we headed over to their dining establishment where they had their special Steak Dinner.  Unfortunately, Kelly didn't know it was just Steak that was offered when she made the reservations, but the owners were able to scrounge up some Salmon to put on the grill.  We spoke with several people while we were there.  One couple was getting married the next morning by taking the same trail ride that were just on that afternoon.  Another family we spoke to were from North Carolina (go figure - cross the states and still come across North Carolinians!).   The Mill Iron Ranch experience was one of the highlights of our vacation - www.millironranch.net .
