I got up at 7:00 and Derek and the final roommate, mother of a two-year old in the house, followed, busy in the kitchen. The morning was kind of a blur but these are the basics. Johnathan, Stephen and Michelle were the next ones up at various times. People did their own things or talked quietly. I mostly talked with Derek and Stephen. Mother and daughter left first for the day. After Andrew came down I showed them BP Spills Coffee and they loved it. I started getting a stomach ache. Andrew got me a poptart and some green tea. Rin and Capri were the last ones down. Johnathan and Capri left. Derek left at 10:30. I hate goodbyes! Rin left to walk Dulce, her pitbull, and said I could stay as long as I needed. I took a nap to try and feel better. Michelle left. I got up at 11:45 and I was just overwhelmed with a cumulative sadness. Lots of things were catching up to me, specifically goodbyes. And no one is sadder than I, that I didn't get any pictures of anybody. But I got right to work on NYC CS requests. Rin got back and went up to get ready for work. I started working on my blog. She left just before 1:00 for work. Andrew and Stephen left around 2:00 for errands and Capri showed up for a late lunch soon after. I felt weird as the only one in the house with all the comings and goings. I think I yearn for my own secure place and job at home. I finished up blogging and got more NYC responses from people already booked or out of town. I wrote some more and Capri swung back through at 3:00 but left before Andrew and Stephen got home at 3:15. I took my bed back out to the car and kept writing. I got a lot of good info in notes from my host in Philly. I researched things I could do at night in the city. I talked a bit with the boys during lunch and checked last minutes things. It's weird leaving people you enjoyed but may not see again.

I left just after 4:00 and cranked up favorite songs from my ipod and sang. I saw lots of barns, cows and corn. I stopped at McDonalds in Lancaster to check how to avoid the PA Turnpike. I stopped again at a farm stand near Valley Forge and randomly got internet. I had to keep queueing up different cross streets to baby step around the toll road. I missed turns right and left, but finally made it to Bryn Mawr and finally stopped at Borders in Ardmon for internet from 7:45 until 10:00, when Laura got off work at the rec center. I drove the three minutes to her apartment building in the suburbs. I parked in spot 225 in the garage, like she instructed and waited outside in the cool evening and texted a friend. She called me back and showed up on her bike at 10:30. Right away she was different that I had pictured. She is in her 50s while her profile said 30-something. She talks a lot. We stopped at her neighbors down the hall first. They are four college students. I was exhausted but we talked for 15 minutes and I diligently told my travel story. We got to her place by 11:00 it's in upheaval because of a move soon. She is a painter and photographer and her paintings are everywhere. It's like a studio and I have the actual bedroom. I had to take the old sheets off and put new ones on - funny. We out for her smoke and her porch has a great view of the Philly skyline. We were both hungry and she started pulling things out of the fridge. I cooked up three spicy turkey sausages and ate half. She through out some old corn and got some canned veggies out but ended up only boiling some potatoes. I enjoyed looking at her paintings and then she showed me her new online photo portfolios. She asked if she could borrow my car tomorrow to check out a job opportunity. I think I'm going to have to tell her no tomorrow. It's my home and it's not really part of the deal. I excused myself at midnight and called my folks. I had a lots to fill them in on. Then I caught up on facebook, couchsurfing and blog until 2:00.
