Touched down in Singapore after a generally smooth flight, although some rough turbulence and the abrupt and urgent announcement " flight crew to your positions" had our hearts pounding! Dad, I (Kailey) kept telling myself all the stats you always tell me but the sweaty palms and heart palpitations prevailed! I have vowed to use this adventure to overcome my recently developed fear of flying!
Throughout the flight we were serenaded by the constant vocals of two teething bubs but we were happy to be near them as we scored emergency exit seats:) .

We navigated the very user friendly RMT trains (public transport) to be greeted by a rising sun, and a refreshing rain on a hot humid morning in little India, Singapore. Desperate for a sleep, we arrived at the hostel However our room was not going to be ready till 1, 5 hours later! While trying to wait out the rain we met a few Canadians, from Calgary! Left our bags at the hostel and headed out in the refreshing rain to explore Singapore!
The morning was filled with a stop at Starbucks( I know, but we needed the free wifi) then a wonderful lunch experience of hot and sour ramen...narrowly avoiding a pig trotter laksa.

Killed more time sorting out train tickets to KL before returning to out hostel for a well deserved nap.

Our traveling skills were as coordinated as a baby giraffe this morning but even after a day we are getting into the groove of things and are getting around like a well oiled machine.

We are off to grab some delicious local grub (not literally eating grubs, have to harden our guts up first). Then we will check out the night scene at the Clinic Bar and indulge in a drip of Singapore Sling as we relax in a comfy wheelchair.

Love to you all. Kailey and Ethan

Hi travellers! I trust ur having an awesome time we wish we were doing our trip again! The address for the orphanage is at the following link http://www.ffac-foundation.org/contact-us/ there you will find a map too. The best time of day to get there is between 9-11am weekdays for playtime. To get there catch the BTS (skytrain) to Pattaya stop. Get off there and try and catch a taxi to the orphanage. If u need more instructions let me know. Xx
